Refund and Cancellation Policy for Get Frugal

Version 1.0 | Updated 31st March 2025

Introduction

This Refund and Cancellation Policy ("Policy") outlines the terms for cancelling your subscription to Get Frugal and the circumstances under which refunds may be issued. This Policy is an integral part of our Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Any capitalised terms used but not defined herein shall have the meanings given to them in the Terms.

By subscribing to our service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Policy.

1. Subscription and Cancellation

1.1. Cancellation Right: You may cancel your paid subscription to Get Frugal at any time through your account settings on the Get Frugal platform (https://getfrugal.uk). The specific steps for cancellation will be clearly outlined within your account dashboard.

1.2. Cancellation Timing and Effect:

  • Cancellation Before Your Billing Date: If you cancel your subscription at any point before your next scheduled Billing Date, your cancellation will be effective immediately. You will not be charged for the subsequent billing period, and your access to premium features will continue until the end of your current pre-paid billing cycle.
  • Cancellation On or After Your Billing Date: If you cancel your subscription on or after your Billing Date, you will be charged for that month's subscription fee as the cancellation request is processed after the charge. Your cancellation will then become effective at the end of that current paid billing cycle. You will continue to have access to the Get Frugal premium services until the end of that paid period.

2. Refund Policy

2.1. General Policy - No Refunds After Payment:

Once your initial subscription payment has been processed (after any free trial period), no refunds or credits will be issued for any subsequent subscription fees. This policy is applied regardless of:

  • When you choose to cancel your subscription.
  • Your level of usage or engagement with the Get Frugal services.
  • Whether you have successfully utilised any vouchers, earned any cashback, or realised any personal financial benefit.
  • Your dissatisfaction with the service, provided the service was available and functioning as described.

2.2. Free Trial Period: For eligible new subscribers, we may offer a free trial period. You will not be charged during the free trial. If you cancel your subscription before the end of your free trial period, you will not be charged any subscription fees.

2.3. Exceptional Circumstances: In extremely limited and exceptional circumstances, Get Frugal (Optimise AI Ltd) may, at its sole and absolute discretion, consider providing a credit or partial refund. Any such decision will be made on a case-by-case basis and does not set a precedent for future cases. To request consideration, you must contact our customer support team at support@getfrugal.uk within 7 days of the relevant charge, providing detailed and compelling reasons and evidence for your request.

2.4. Service Unavailability: In the event of a prolonged, significant, and verified unavailability of the core Get Frugal services due to a fault within our direct control, we may, at our sole discretion, offer a pro-rata credit or extension of your subscription for the period of significant unavailability. This does not apply to general internet outages, minor intermittent downtime, or issues caused by third-party retailers.

2.5. Failed Cashback and Vouchers: Please note that our subscription fee is for access to our platform, tools, and aggregated offers. We do not guarantee the success of individual voucher codes or the tracking of every cashback offer, as these are dependent on third-party retailers. The failure of a specific offer to work or track successfully is not grounds for a refund of your subscription fee.

3. Changes to this Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy on our website. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you, such as via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Get Frugal services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
